We're home!

We made it home and have to say, glad to be here. It was a great weekend, but glad we are home for a few more weeks before we take off again the 1st weekend of April for DD's Sea Camp trip. Friday, DD and I were out of the house by 9:30am and on our way to start our Scrapbook Treasure hunt. We started at Scraporium (hi Denise!), then off to Scrap N Sew. We met up with D and Miss KJ at The Scrapbook Shoppe for some fun shopping. DD was able to find some of her penguin paradise paper (yah!!). We said bye to D and Miss KJ and we were off to the other side of the bay. Once over the bay (btw, it was WINDY!), we went to Whim So Doodle and Scrapbooking in Paradise. Lots of goodies to be had at all. It was now time to go south of Tampa. Down 275 we went, over the Skyway bridge (ugh, I hate that thing!). Down in Bradenton and Sarasota, we went to Scrap Happy, Made for Memories, and K2. It was now about 5:45, time to go back north. So we shot up 75 (loved the traffic, or lack of compared to Tampa), hit Scraptopia in Brandon and Violette's in Lakeland.
Argg!
While DD and I were treasure hunting, the boys drove over to Orlando Friday morning, they got us checked into the hotel and because the weather was iffy and Tom was starting to feel sick (nasty stuff going around at work), after lunch they hung out at the hotel playing the Wii which they took with them just in case the weather was bad. The bigger news is DS pooped in the potty! woohoo... I hope this is a big step in the right direction... Saturday we went to Hollywood Studios in the morning. We hit Star Tours first thing, here is a pic of DD on the way there, you'll notice she's wearing normal sunglasses. How you might ask? She got contacts on Thursday!

After Star Tours we split up, Tom off to Rockin Rollercoaster, the kids and I took off toward The Art of Disney (DD loves to take their animation drawing classes). DS and I walked over to the new Mickey's Clubhouse show (where the Playhouse Disney show used to be) area and he got his picture taken with Handy Manny

and Jo Jo & Goliath.

We met back up with Tom and visited some more of what Hollywood Studios had to offer. DD and DS played in the Honey, I shrunk the kids playarea for awhile, had their picture taken with Power Rangers. Lunchtime, we left the park and went back to hotel for a bit, picking lunch up on the way. Around 4, we went off to Epcot since DD had to met someone from her studio at 5:30 @ Italy in the World Showcase side. We parted with Tom and DS at the Monorail and they went off to MK for the evening. DD and I walked around Epcot a bit, looking at things, played a game in the area connected to Spaceship Earth. We arrived at Italy about 5:15. At 5:30 on the nose, I said bye to DD and off I went to keep myself busy till I was to come back and retrieve her at 8:30-8:45. If you are at Epcot and want something worthwhile to do, go see the 30 minute show in the American pavilion. It was great and I hope to take DD to it sometime in the futute because it all goes along with her History course. Tom and DS met up with me at Italy and DD showed up at 8:45ish. We decided since it was COLD and DS's goosebumps had goosebumps it was time to get dinner and back to the hotel. Sunday morning we got up, packed up the hotel room, and off to MK we went. Waiting for the tram, DD met up with two of her dance team mates and they hung out till it was time to meet up with Lani and the rest of the dance teams at 2:30. They performed at 4pm and they were all AWESOME!

Tom and DS left around 3 so they were home by the time DD was done dancing and it was time for her and I to leave. The drive home was fine, not too much traffic, tho my car mate went to sleep (she earned the nap tho). So we're back. FCATs start tomorrow, 5 more stores to get done for the Treasure Hunt, eye appt again later this week for DD. Back to normal life for a few weeks... Definitely want to do something scrapping this week... Time will tell... Later!
