Monday Post 1

Since it's been almost a week (where did the time go?) I will post more then 1 post today...

Friday was AWESOME! Due to a little hubby alarm issue, I had to be dressed and out the door in less then 10 mins, well amazingly I did it. I arrived at D's house about 20 mins later. We loaded up my stuff into her van and off we went. After fill the gas tank and our bellies, off to Orlando we went. Great company and conversation made the 1 hour trip FLY by. This was my 1st time personally meeting J, but we seemed to hit it off like we had known each other forever. (hugs J!)

We unpacked the van and started the long walk into the convention center. On our way to the hall, we saw Cami who was in town teaching the Rusty Pickle classes.. woohoo!!! We arrived at Hall WD2, you could just smell the new paper inside... ahhhh We went to Will Call, picked up our tickets, free gift (which was awesome this year), and then it was time to check all the totes and bags.

We sat down outside the hall for a bit checking out the class locations, where certain vendors were for when we came back after our first class to shop. lol We checked out our coupons to see which were MUST use. It was almost 9 so it was time to get to our first class, Rusty Pickle's "A Boy's Life Chipboard Album". It was a great class, the album is going to be super cute when I am done with it, and the teacher was great!

J was taking the next RP class also so she decided to just stay in the class and continue working on her boy's life book. D and I were off to SHOP! First stop was the Scrap Mart booth where I aquired the 5 brand new BG collections in less then 2 mins.. hehe Later in the day, I picked up Two Scoops also and ALL the bazzill to go with the 6 new collections. We did our rounds before our next class.

Our 11am class was 4 Ribbon Techniques from SEI. It was a great class, very fast paced, with lots of door prizes. I won a prize for being loud and excited for the other winners.. me loud. go figure.. hehe I definitely will post pictures later of the chipboard book we made in this class.

Back to the Expo floor we went, J was due to be done with her class around 12:30 so we just walked around some more taking in the sites and places we wanted to go back to. So the time came and J met up with us. (yay!) We started showing her all the goodies to be had and we once again did some serious work to our cash piles.. hehe J and I made sure that www.scrapbookpal.com wasn't going outta business anytime soon. We both picked up some things that will make great gifts later. I also picked up some that DD and I could do together. Shopping done, time to eat some lunch before our last class of the day. J and I decided to take some of the bags back to the van because there was no way we'd be able to carry all of the new stuff and our crop stuff back to the van later that evening.

Our 4:30 class was All My Children from Quick Quotes, taught by Michelle. I have taken several classes with her, she's awesome! It was another fast paced class and I couldn't believe time was up when it was. Still have items to finish from that kit also. Pics to go up later...

5:30 and it was time to CROP! woohoo! We picked up our things from baggage claim and got in line. They let us in about 15 mins early. Piggy Tails was the sponsor so we knew the goody bags would be great! We finally got settled in and started cropping. J worked on her wedding album (some very beautiful pics), D worked on her SC trip, and I worked on killing some of my TheScraproom Kits with various pics. Here are a few pics from the crop. First one is of my 5th grade teacher (long but sweet story) and me. The second is of J, D, and myself.

Once again, the evening went super fast, and it was time to go home. Packed all our goodies up and took the long walk to the van. We made it back to Tampa about 12:30, unloaded my stuff from D's van and back to the house I went.

What a great day I had. I can't wait till December to do it all over again here in Tampa. I'm starting to save my pennies right now!
